On 20 February 2018, the Commission announced that it had approved partial compensation of approximately £370 million (about €418 million) from the UK to Post Office Limited (POL).The compensation is in connection with POL’s operation of a network of post offices that the Commission has considered is larger than what POL would seek to maintain on a purely commercial basis. This Commission decision will apply until the UK ceases to be a member of the EU.
