Commission approves state funding for Czech Post’s universal service obligation

On 19 February 2018, the Commission announced that financial support from the Czech Republic for Czech Post’s universal service obligation between 2013 and 2017 is in accordance with EU state aid rules.The funding will be paid through direct grants from the state budget. A maximum of CZK 2.6 billion (approximately €97.63 million) for the entire period can be paid under the Commission’s approval.
